Landscape Maintenance Supervisor (Estate Gardening Division)
Move your horticulture career to the next level! Gnome is seeking a responsible individual with supervisory skills and a strong working knowledge of plant materials to provide excellent landscape maintenance services to residential accounts.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Through a planned program of horticultural care, the Maintenance Supervisor ensures that plantings remain true to the design intent and that they flourish. The position requires in-depth communication and understanding of your customers’ needs. Act as a conduit between the office and the client and make sure all maintenance activities are completed, including; pruning/dead-heading, weeding, fertilizing, watering, dividing/transplanting, planting, edging, mulching, and other garden enhancement or maintenance-related services requested by the customer or design team. The goal is to provide full maintenance services for customer properties given the time and frequency of visits allotted.
REQUIREMENTS:
3 or more years of hands-on horticultural training or experience including ornamental horticulture, knowledge of woody plants & shrubs, perennials, and annuals. Degree in horticulture a plus but not required. A positive customer service attitude, excellent communication skills, and detail orientation are a must. A good design-eye and an interest in annuals layout & container planting also preferred. Ability to perform physical aspects of position and lift at least 50 lbs. Hold valid Maine drivers license. Must like working outdoors.
